A military veteran and attorney, Fred Eurie Young was born in 1891 in Craighead County, Arkansas. He served in both World War I and World War II, and was the chief attorney for the Lubbock, Texas, Veterans Administration (1946-1961). He retired to a private law practice in Lubbock, Texas. Young was a member of the Texas Bar Association and the Allen Brothers American Legion Post. He died in 1965.
